Services

One of the most exciting events at Congregation B'nai Israel is our First Friday Family Shabbat. They are geared toward giving our students the opportunity to lead the congregation in song and prayer. The service is followed by a full dinner a few times a year, but always an Oneg and further fun for the kids! If you have not come to one of these services you have not felt the energy of our congregation!
Sanctuary Service
The sanctuary service is led by Rabbi Gershon and Cantor Yucht and includes participation by the B’nai Israel congregants. We use Machzor Lev Shalem, the High Holiday Machzor of the Conservative Movement. Seating for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services require pre-purchased or member tickets. Active participation in the sanctuary service (Torah readings, aliyot, ark openings, carrying the Torah) is pre-assigned.
Youth and Teen Services
We hold services for children of all ages on both days of Rosh Hashana and on Yom Kippur morning. At the conclusion of their services, children are welcome to join their parents in the sanctuary. Babysitting services are also offered.
